A gift for Sintvoorieder1

Every child deserves a gift from Santa. Yet many children who grow up in (hidden) poverty often do not receive a gift on December 5th. Fortunately, the Sintvoorieder1 Foundation is here! This foundation ensures that Sinterklaas also thinks of these children every year.

We are happy to support a foundation with such a great initiative as an AED-Partner. That is why we recently donated a gift: an AED for the volunteers!

From a few hundred gifts to 30,000 gift packages
The idea behind Sintvoorieder1 arose in 2010 at a mother's kitchen table. She came up with a campaign to give hundreds of children in poor families a gift with Sinterklaas. And with success! This initiative has now grown into an official foundation with 75 regular volunteers who make about 30,000 children happy with a gift package every year. And that number is growing: every year more children need a package.

A (heart) safe warehouse
To prepare all those packages on time, Sintvoorieder1 just got a new warehouse. Annemieke Sindorf works there on safety on the work floor: “Large groups of volunteers are regularly busy in the warehouse at the same time. An accident is then in a small corner. For example, someone may become unwell. That is why an emergency response officer has recently been present at all times.

Recently we were also able to take another great step in safety: in addition to the first aid kit, our coffee corner now also has an AED. Well visible, so that everyone can grab it quickly if necessary. For us as a foundation extra special that we received the AED as a gift. Thank you!"
