AEDs for the workplace and the Roparun

Technische Unie is a wholesaler of technical installation materials for construction, installation and industry. Wholesale with an emphasis on LARGE: together no less than 2,200 people work here. How do you ensure that they can all work (heart) safely? Including AEDs!

Nico Boerman is Manager Security and Emergency Response at Technische Unie:
“We have a total of about 50 AEDs, spread over various locations and pick-up points. We arrange the maintenance of these AEDs ourselves: we have been replacing the batteries and electrodes indoors for 17 years. This year, however, we came to the point where a large proportion of those AEDs had reached their maximum age: they really needed to be replaced. In the past we have already been helped by AED-Partner well and quickly and that is why we approached them again for advice. And that was again a pleasure!

Immediately after we agreed on the quotation, Chantal called us with 'Thank you, very nice!' and she arranged everything down to the last detail. Our new Mindray AEDs have now arrived and we are busy installing them. It is great that we can reuse the carrying handles of the old AEDs; the new AEDs fit in perfectly, including the carrying case.”

Even outside the workplace, Technische Unie is busy with AEDs. Every year the company takes part in the Roparun: a relay race from Paris to Rotterdam. The goal: to raise money for palliative care for people with cancer. An adventure for life.
