Following the Dutch example, the idea of the BuurtAED is now also being rolled out in Sweden.
Collecting money together with the neighbors for a heart-safe neighborhood.
With an intricate coverage of over 25,000 registered AEDs, the chance of survival has increased by up to 25%.
This makes the Netherlands the most heart-safe country in the world
Sweden currently has too few AEDs available.
Only 4% (630) of all registered AEDs are located in residential areas, while 70% of cardiac arrests occur at home.
That's why the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation, together with Philips and a health insurer, will work to increase the chance of survival in Sweden as well.
