Volleyball player successfully resuscitated during practice match

AEDs play a crucial role from time to time in both the recreational sports industry and the professional sports world. An example is the use of an AED earlier this year during a Belgian practice match of VC Greenyard Maaseik. During that game, one of the volleyball players suddenly collapsed. Thanks to the quick action of bystanders, he was quickly resuscitated on the spot using an AED. The resuscitation was successful: the man was taken to a nearby hospital in a stable condition and soon informed his team that he was feeling better.
